The Lean Institute Brasil (LIB) was founded in 1998 by José Roberto Ferro as a non-profit organization and with the purpose of disseminating lean management in every sector of Brazilian society. Beginning with Manufacturing, it has expanded the lean implementation to diverse areas such as Healthcare, Logistics, Office, Marketing and Sales, Agribusiness, Construction, Human Resources, Suppliers and others.
Since then, LIB has promoted consulting programs and events, has published and translated books and has written articles in all those areas in order to register success cases of lean implementation and to share experiences with people all around the world.
Being part of LGN and coordinator of its actions in Latin America, LIB has the mission to improve the organizations and the society through lean management practice, and its vision is about being continuously recognized as a reference of lean knowledge and practice in Brazil.
